Online DASH Assessment Training
Homicide Prevention: Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Harassment and Honour Based Violence (DASH 2009) Front Line Professionals University Accredited Training.
This is a condensed 3hr session, adapted for online delivery. It will focus on how to compete the DASH Risk Identification Checklist, how to identify and assess risk in cases of Domestic Abuse, Stalking and or so-called Honour Based Violence, high risk factors and actions to be taken following the risk assessment.
The DASH is a lifeline for many victims. Training is crucial to understanding the DASH Risk Model. The questions and answers are important, so to is the action that you take.
This training is suitable for all professionals working in the field of public protection including domestic abuse, stalking and harassment, honour-based violence, safeguarding children, safeguarding vulnerable adults, missing persons, sexual violence, MARAC, MAPPA, mental health and homicide.
The DASH training has been university accredited by the University of Brighton. It has received the ‘REQ’ kite mark – recognising educational quality.
About your Trainer – Jo Majauskis is an independent Trainer and consultant who has worked in the field of Domestic Violence/abuse for 15 years. Jo has delivered DASH training as an associate of Laura Richards for the last ten years.
Jo is also an Associate Lecturer for the National Centre for the Study and Prevention of Violence and Abuse (NCSPVA) at the University of Worcester having completed her Masters in Dynamics of Domestic Violence with Distinction in 2015.
Her previous roles have included frontline support work and Senior Management positions for Domestic Abuse Support Services. Jo is a qualified Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) and an Independent Stalking Advocacy Caseworker (ISAC). Jo has also sat on numerous Domestic Homicide Reviews in an advisory capacity.
