Hate Crime post image

The Essex Strategic Hate Crime Prevention Partnership would like to raise awareness of what we do and what services are available for victims of hate crime in Essex. We want to encourage people to report disability hate crime to Essex Police, or another reporting service (outlined in the leaflets attached). But crucially, we want to encourage anyone affected by hate crime to contact Victim Support. Victim Support are a national charity, with a service based in Essex, that provide practical and emotional support to people affected by hate crime. They are open 24/7 and can be contacted using a range of contact methods, including:

• Call 0808 168 9111,
• Visit www.victimsupport.org.uk or,
• use Next Generation Text by adding 18001 before any of Victim Support’s phone numbers.
