COVID – 19

COVID-19 is an illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It’s caused by a virus called coronavirus that was first identified in Wuhan City, China in December 2019.

Thurrock Council is working with partners to provide help to those most in need during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Help is available for those most at risk, visit the council website for more information and details of how to ask for help.

See the NHS England website to access translations of the ‘at risk patient’ letter that was sent out to people with identified health needs in response to COVID-19.

Thurrock Coronavirus Community Action is a partnership led by the council, Stronger Together and Thurrock CVS, working with local organisations to safely coordinate support and volunteers.

Here is a video message from the Thurrock Safeguarding Adults Board Chair Jim Nicolson on what to do if you have any safeguarding adult concerns.
